Their fans very quickly split into 2 camps. Team Andre and Team Price, as the warring pair hit the headlines day after day in their battle for supremecy.

It was only a couple of months ago that Peter Andre announced that he would be splitting from his wife of four years for reasons that he would not share.

Shortly after running the London Marathon and the recent revelation that Katy had lost a baby around the same time, he split from his wife whom he clearly still loved.

In a statement at the time Katy said: “Pete is the love of my life and my life” – “We have children together and I am devastated and disappointed by his decision to separate and divorce me, as I married him for life” she continued: ‘I will always love my Pete.’ –

Theirs was a fairytale romance from their very first meeting in the Australian reality jungle show ‘I’m a Celebrity – Get me out of Here’, to their over the top, pink and fluffy Cinderella style wedding in 2005. Complete with white horse-drawn pumpkin shaped coach and sumptuous regal setting.

A couple of years on and 2 children later, tempers were fraying constantly on their documentary style TV series, the couple appeared to be far from the star-struck lovers that they flaunted to the world in their publicity shots.

Large cracks were evident and hostile arguments showed to us that all was very far from well in the Andre camp.

Peter could not handle Katie’s behaviour when she let her hair down. This is when her alter-ego Jordan would come out to play. Peter’s insecurities and jealousies erupted over a night out in Bristol when Katie appeared very ‘unmarried’ after a good booze up at a nightclub with a group of people, including Andrew Gould, International dressage rider and the stable owner who looks after her horses.

Although seemingly all quite innocent, her behaviour on this night seems to have been the final straw for Peter who read about Katie’s antics and saw the damning pictures when they were splashed all over the papers the following day.

Today the estranged couple were granted a quickie divorce in the High Court which took all of 42 seconds. The decree nisis was granted after both cited ‘unreasonable behaviour’ as the reason for their break-up in May.

They now have a 6 week period before the divorce becomes final and the Decree Absolute is filed.

The divorce was granted by District Judge Bradley on the grounds that their marriage had irretrievably broken down because of each other’s unreasonable behaviour.

Neither party attended the hearing at the High Court.

‘Peter and Katie have two children together - son, Junior, four, and daughter Princess Tiaamii, aged two. Katie also has another son, Harvey, aged seven, with footballer Dwight Yorke.’

Katie said: “It’s a shame because it was a fairytale and he was the love of my life”.
