Jade Goody’s Funeral will take place Saturday, 4th April. There has been a Book of Remembrance set-up in the church where she will be buried.

“Visitors can leave a message in the book and have an opportunity for quiet reflection and prayer and the lighting of a candle”, a spokesman for Chelmsford Diocese said.

They will also be able to leave floral tributes inside the church for transfer later to a place set aside in the churchyard’.

One message left inside the book said: “Jade, if it was not for you I would never have had my smear test and I have waited 15 years to have one.”

Reading this made me feel really sad. I don’t think the news has sunk in yet that she’s really gone. She’s been on our TV screens/in the magazines for so long, and it’s just very hard to think that she no longer will be. That we won’t see any new pictures of her, and will no longer be able to follow her life, as it has now been cut short with her aged just 27.

Jade has touched a lot of people’s lives, and for the work that she’s put in raising cancer testing awareness and pushing to lower the age for smear testing really will save lives for many years to come. Jade Goody is a person that will never be forgotten for what she accomplished in her short life.

Fantastic article from you as always here, you really are an incredibly talented writer, and the way that you’ve followed Jade’s journey these last few months has been absolutely brilliant. Your articles are always so interesting and packed full of life; it always makes me so proud to read your posts, and I just love reading your writing. I really am proud of you.
