Jade’s Heartfelt Message to the British Public -
Jade Goody, 27, had a tremendous lift to her spirits when she took a phone call at her bedside today. On the other end of the phone was none other than King of pop, Michael Jackson, 50.
A friend had told him about Jade’s plight and the eccentric superstar couldn’t wait to get in touch with her and offer his support.
Jade was “blown away” that her idol, Michael Jackson was moved enough to make the call and to ask how she was doing.
He offered words of comfort to the terminally ill, reality star. Jackson already knew of her, as his brother Jermaine appeared alongside Jade in the Celebrity version of Big Brother 2007.
Jackson sent her his love and said he would get her husband, Jack Tweed, 21, and her sons, VIP tickets to his upcoming ‘This is it’ UK show at the 02 Arena in July.
He also spoke to Jack and offered his help if they needed anything. “Jade and Jack were touched.” by the singer’s kindness and it made Jade’s day.
It is now reported that Jade is going blind and only has part vision in one eye, the terminal cancer now attacking her sight.
She is hoping that she may be allowed home to spend her final days with her loved ones around her in the sanctity of her own home.
Her pain appears to be under control to some degree and a nurse would be able to look after her and administer drugs when needed from the comfort of her own bed.
Jade also wants to help take a petition to Downing Street calling for a new ruling to the smear test age for cervical cancer, taking it down from 25 to 20 years of age minimum.
The ‘Jade Effect’ has highlighted cancer and brought an increase of 20% in people applying for screenings and smears.
Jade has done far more for the cause than government body or advertising could do.
Yesterday, Jade sent a message to the British public, in which she said: “I’m dying … but I’m happy.”
Remember me as “the girl who put up a fight” and “The mouthy bird off the box”.
She said: “I can look back and be proud of what I’ve done. I’ve achieved more in 27 years than some achieve in their lifetime.”
“I fought cancer, got married, got christened, I’m happy. I could bitch about dying young, but at the end of the day, I can look back on my life and be proud of what I have done.” -

It’s good to know that she’s proud of her life. I liked reading that, it made me feel all warm inside. It’s great that Michael Jackson gave her a call too, I bet she really enjoyed taking that call! Amazing.
