Breaking News Jade Goody Taken to Hospice – Jade’s Health Deteriorating in Her Battle With Cancer
Jade Goody, 27, cut a very sad figure last night as she was taken away to St. Claire’s Hospice, Harlow, not too far from her home and the scene of her wedding. Jade has been in a lot of pain and her health has been deteriorating badly since last weekend.
The preparations and excitement for the big day have proven too much for the reality star and she has spent much of the time in bed, resting, since tying the knot to Jack Tweed.
Jade’s fairytale wedding is spread throughout the pages of OK magazine this week with a follow up to be printed in next weeks issue. There are some lovely pictures of the day with Jade looking absolutely radiant.
In her first public appearance since then, Jade was Looking frail and tearful, sucking on a special lollipop which delivers pain relief medication, she burst into tears as her next door neighbour laid into her.
He was cleaning his car when Jade was led out of her home. He hurled verbal abuse at her about the pack of photographers and the amount of paparazzi camped outside her house.
Jade’s house is right next to a main road and the press have had to cordon off an area for safety. The annoyed neighbour was shouting at her, saying: “That’s right! Let them get you on camera”.
Jade was clearly upset but her feisty, argumentative side kicked in and she gave as good as she got. You can understand his annoyance, but surely he could have let it go, knowing the condition that Jade is in. I mean, he won’t have to put up with it for much longer…Will he?
Jade was very emotional and burst into tears again, and screamed at him in a broken voice as she was driven away: “Leave me alone” she cried - “I’ll be dead in a month”.
Jade has been having an adverse reaction to her medication since Thursday, which has left her distraught, incoherent and suffering frightening hallucinations. Her exhaustion from her wedding seems to have really taken its toll on her very frail health.
The strain is showing as Jade is battling with the pain of terminal cancer. The difficult state of dying in front of her two young sons, Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4, is too much for her to bear, and she feels it is a blessing to be leaving them for a while, so they don’t have to witness the cruelty of her illness.
Her publicist, Max Clifford, said she has been taken into St Claire’s hospice for 3 days, where she will receive palliative care, where they will re-set her medication and tailor it to her needs. He added: “I hope she will be allowed to come home next week”
The Hospice deals with ‘end of life specialist care’ and they will also be able to offer Jade counselling to help her in her final days.
The living out of her deteriorating health in the public eye seems of some comfort to Jade, for it’s the love and the acceptance of the British public that is all important to her. The public took her under their wing, and into their hearts, when she first appeared on TV in Big Brother UK.
Jade has lived most of her adult life on the reality TV circuit and she feels comfortable with this, as a way of life, and of death.
Preparation is being hurried up for the christening of her two young sons next Saturday, and her final TV interview next week will be with with Piers Morgan, which Jade really hopes she will be well enough to take part in.
Jade said: “I’m going out with a fight”; and there’s no denying the fact, that that’s exactly what she’ll do. I’d expect nothing less from her. -
