- Let it Snow -

Las Vegas has been hit by snow! A massive snowstorm has struck Las Vegas and as much as three inches of snowfall has been forecast to fall on the city, covering the rooftops of the famous casino studded Las Vegas strip.

Many schools have been closed as the weather worsens and residents battle to cope with the hazardous weather conditions. It was almost thirty years ago that the population of Las Vegas last saw this sort of snow on their city.

Las Vegas is the most highly populated city in the U.S. state of Nevada and the weather predictions are that a possible eight inches of snow will fall over certain parts of the city.

At the moment, all flights in and out of the city, have been cancelled until further notice. The unexpected Arctic weather is due to a rare Arctic chill and a powerful wet Pacific storm.

As people herd around the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign, to capture this snowy moment on film, it appears that this will indeed make a lot of peoples dreams come true, and those ‘dreaming of a White Christmas’, have got what they asked for in this cold and frosty Las Vegas reality.-

8 inches of snow in some areas! I sense that some real mega snowmen will be built by some! Brilliant. Bet there are a lot of very happy faces that the schools have been closed as well!

If only we could have a bit of snow here; still, there’s a week to go yet, so there’s still time for a white christmas yet!

It always makes me feel all warm inside to hear about heavy christmas snowfall. I thoroughly enjoyed the post, and that ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ sign really makes me want to go visit!
